About Living Water Church, Woodlands

Living Water Church Woodlands is lead by Pastors, Doug Dommer and Micah Dangler. The growing congregation has a vision for being a place where families in The Woodlands (and all over Montgomery County) can grow in their faith in Jesus Christ with an awesome church community around them.

Doug Dommer, Lead Pastor

Doug Dommer is a creative and innovative pastor that spent much of his ministry at Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball, Texas.
Having served as Youth Pastor, Worship Pastor and Teaching Pastor in this 170 year old historic church, his passion for the Word and connecting people’s lives to God’s story has continued throughout his ministry. He loves building great teams and dreaming big dreams, and God continues to ignite his pursuit for transformational teaching and leading.

Micah Drengler, Pastor

Micah was called to serve as pastor at Living Word in April, 2021 and was ordained into the ministry and installed as pastor on September 12th of that same year. "Fresh out of the Seminary" in Saint Louis, Micah is eager to serve God's people here in The Woodlands.

Micah grew up in North Carolina and received his Bachelor's in Theological Languages from Concordia University Wisconsin, where he met his wife, Dana.

Laura Montemayor, Executive Assistant

Laura Montemayor began attending Living Word Lutheran Church shortly after moving to The Woodlands from Houston in 2021. She has two teenage daughters and enjoys dancing and outdoor sports. Laura is a public servant at heart having served the Citizens of Houston for 25 years and she now enjoys continuing her service to others through our church.

What We Believe

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again, proving His victory. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

THE TRINITY

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

THE BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is without error, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

THE SEPARATION

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

THE RECONCILIATION

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must receive faith in Jesus and repent of our sins. Because of the new life we have in Christ, we serve our neighbor.

THE CHURCH

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together.
